In this shiur, Maynard Breslow introduces the concept of the Week of Malchut, which encompasses prayer, leadership, ownership, and accountability. He emphasizes the importance of praying for the ability to pray and the ability to be heard. Maynard explains that Malchut is the lowest sefirah in the lowest world (Asiyah/action) and corresponds to kingship and queenship. He also explores the practice of Hitbodedut, speaking to Hashem in one’s own words, and the significance of speaking prayer out loud. Maynard highlights the idea of accepting responsibility and taking ownership in one’s kingdom, as well as the negative aspects of Malchut such as arrogance and seeking honor.

Rav Benji Elson brings in his book Dance of the Omer the role of a Noble Leader by extending Chesed (kindness) to others and the importance of being open to rebuke. Maynard concludes by emphasizing the need for noble and benevolent leaders who listen and serve the people.
